Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred to Reimagine Leveling — More Time to Study Classes
Blizzard has announced a comprehensive overhaul of the progression mechanics for the Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred expansion, aiming to provide players with a more nuanced understanding of their chosen class and its maximum combat potential.
In a recent interview, Project Director Colin Finer explained that these foundational adjustments will specifically target the early stages of character development:
The new system is designed to facilitate a gradual mastery of skills, helping players build muscle memory while exploring the intricate depths of each archetype. A revised level cap ensures that character growth remains rewarding well into the endgame. This shift allows players to spend more time refining their Paladin or Warlock builds, gaining a much sharper grasp of their unique abilities and synergies.
The Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred expansion is currently slated for release on April 28, 2026.
