New footage from the cancelled Project Draconis — a title formerly in development at Deviation Games — has surfaced online. Insider Dusk Golem posted the clips, noting he possesses over an hour of recordings but shared roughly ten minutes.
He said he published the material only after the project’s shutdown was confirmed — the game will not be revived in any form. Sony financed the development, which ended following the studio’s closure in early 2025.
According to Dusk Golem, the project was known within the community by the working name “Ooze.” The released footage shows an early Unreal Engine 5 build: a protagonist in futuristic armor exploring environments overrun with alien, organic growths. Earlier reports indicated Project Draconis was intended as a cooperative, story-driven action title for PlayStation 5 and PC with a budget north of $50 million.
Deviation Games has confirmed the project’s permanent cancellation. Dusk Golem added that the leaked clips date from nearly four years ago.
