Actor Slava Kopeykin (The Boy’s Word: Blood on the Asphalt) has landed the lead role in the upcoming musical biopic Basta. Game Start. The casting was announced by the film company Temp.
Kopeykin will portray Basta (real name Vasily Vakulenko) in his youth. The project also stars Ksenia Treister, Daniil Vorobyov, Alexander Yatsenko, and Basta himself.
The film’s events will take place in Rostov in the early 2000s, where the performer searched for his voice while facing distrust and competitors. Stas Ivanov (Yuzzz) will serve as the director and screenwriter of the film. The exact release date has not been specified. Atmosfera Kino is the distributor.
Kopeykin recently appeared in the film Beauty, the anthology Tulips, and the new season of Children of Change.
