In Russia, there is a proposal to ban “Squid Game” —
authorities claim that the series spreads incorrect moral values
The show is said to promote unbridled propaganda of killings, violence,
and cruelty, which falls under a Criminal Code article, according to Mikhail Ivanov,
a deputy of the Bryansk Regional Duma and the chairman of the All-Russian public movement
“Russian Orthodox.”
In his words, the series is a true manifesto of cruelty, where human life is devalued,
and killings become the norm.
