Yesterday, the price for a month of GTA+ increased, first seen on the Xbox store, and soon after in the PlayStation Store. Instead of 6 dollars, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners (as the subscription is exclusive to them) are now required to pay 8 bucks (or 7 British pounds).
There was no official announcement about this change by the developers, but they did send out emails to all subscribers. These emails also mentioned that the previous price would be maintained for those with an active prepayment (newcomers face the new price) until June 11. Interestingly, this isn’t on a Thursday, when GTA+ bonuses usually get updated, but on a Tuesday, the traditional day for releasing DLCs. Does this hint at a new expansion coming in two months?
The price increase should not come as a surprise. Alongside the usual benefits in GTA Online and several parts of the series, they recently added RDR 1, and plan to provide access to two more games. The question arises: is it time to rename the service to Rockstar+?
