On our social networks, we often share content that isn’t quite significant enough to warrant a full article—often fan videos and illustrations. To ensure our visitors don’t miss out, even if they aren’t following GCU on other platforms, we compile these collections.
First, we’re sharing a greeting card from the creators of Mafia: The Old Country.
In October, Rockstar Games continued its tradition for the fifth year in a row by supporting the Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, donating 20,000 pounds for an initiative to save children in hospitals. Everyone could participate not only by donating but also by hosting 24-hour charity streams.
Rockstar also remembered gamers by compensating the price increase of RDR 2 on Steam, reducing the prices of three games. Bully, Manhunt, and Max Payne 2 all became cheaper by one hryvnia each!
Their colleagues at 2K Games did a favor for the gaming community by removing their own launcher.
In addition, to the two mainstream theories about GTA 6 (we’re talking about moon-reading and the fatal number 27), which can be called non-starters, there’s another. It suggests that the Día de Muertos t-shirt given away in GTA Online for Day of the Dead features… Lucia and Jason. Why San Andreas is written below them has no explanation. But one can imagine.
Also, in October, the Brazil Game Show 2024 showcased not only stars from our favorite video games but also lots of great cosplay. There was a fan crossover of GTA 6 and GTA: San Andreas, as well as several cowboys from Red Dead. A couple portraying Lucia and Jason attended the show in the same costumes last year too. The ‘ballas’ even have their own little community.
Another themed play is the announcement of the new expansion for LEGO Fortnite with the words “Ah bricks here we go again…” and an image inspired by GTA 6 artwork.
In December, Sony celebrated the 30th anniversary of PlayStation, and in honor of this, launched a special page dedicated to the console’s history. It mentions GTA: Vice City Stories, GTA: Chinatown Wars, and GTA 5. However, in the two-minute anniversary video, there isn’t a single shot featuring Grand Theft Auto!
Finally, we proudly present to you our remakes shot in “Online”: for “Ghostbusters” and for Coca-Cola advertisement.
