The Watch Dogs franchise is “dead and buried.” All series projects have been cancelled
Insider j0nathan wrote on his X/Twitter that the failure of Watch Dogs Legion led to the cancellation of several franchise projects. According to him, even a themed “battle royale” was in development.
There are no official comments from Ubisoft yet, but the company has indeed been focusing on more profitable franchises in recent years: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and even Prince of Persia.
We hope that the story of Aiden Pearce will continue in the future.
