It is important to note that decompilation doesn’t immediately translate to a playable PC release. For instance, while Mario Party 4 was decompiled months ago, a native port has yet to surface. As one forum user noted, “A significant hurdle for GameCube titles is that the graphics translation layers are currently incomplete.”
However, given the immense cultural impact of Twilight Princess, the motivation to overcome these technical barriers is likely much higher than for more niche titles. While a native PC port isn’t guaranteed in the immediate future, the most difficult hurdle has officially been cleared.
