Euro Truck Simulator 2 Developers Showcase Dynamic Loading and Unloading in Update 1.57
A feature from American Truck Simulator is set to arrive in ETS 2 soon.
The Euro Truck Simulator 2 team published a development blog covering update 1.57. This entry focuses on a newly implemented mechanic.
The highlight is dynamic cargo loading and unloading — a system first introduced in American Truck Simulator. In ETS 2 it will be implemented at selected locations in the upcoming Nordic Horizons expansion, and will also appear at similar depots in the base game and other DLCs, including Greece.
At the moment, this system applies to timber trailers. Drivers using their own logging trailer—whether carrying logs, oversized pipes, or metal tubes—will be able to handle loading and unloading themselves using a loader with interchangeable attachments or a tracked excavator. Once you arrive at the designated spot and align your trailer correctly, the loading sequence will begin automatically.
The Euro Truck Simulator 2 team plans to widen the range of sites that support dynamic loading and unloading in future updates.
