AdHoc couldn’t have predicted that 2025 would be the year K-pop-themed media took over the cultural zeitgeist. Reflecting on the decision today, the team admits that removing Winter was a missed opportunity, especially given the current popularity of the genre. Fortunately, the door isn’t completely closed on the idea.

“We actually developed a romantic subplot involving him,” Shorette revealed. “He was the character everyone was vying for. It would have been a fantastic addition. We definitely should reconsider that for a potential Season 2—provided a second season happens!”

Dispatch, a narrative-driven workplace comedy with a superhero twist, has become a runaway success for AdHoc. The title reached the one-million sales milestone in just ten days, far exceeding internal projections. With total sales now surpassing two million units, the prospect of a follow-up season appears increasingly likely.

Currently, Dispatch is available for players on PC and PlayStation 5, with a Nintendo Switch release slated for January 2026.

In other industry news: The lead developer of Witchfire argues that Steam’s dominance remains unshakable because players are deeply loyal to their existing libraries.
