American director Michael Shanks — known for One Whole — is developing a science‑fiction thriller titled Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel (lit. Hotel, hotel, hotel, hotel), according to Deadline.
The project will be produced by A24. The story follows a guest of a mysterious hotel who becomes trapped in his room; to get out he must reconcile with himself.
Shanks also penned the screenplay for the film, which appeared on the 2021 Black List of the best unproduced scripts. One of the producers attached is Academy Award‑winner Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up). No release date has been announced.
The body‑horror picture One Whole, starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, depicted a couple in turmoil who are inexplicably and physically drawn toward each other. The film opened in July, earned $32 million worldwide and received strong critical praise (90% on Rotten Tomatoes).
