Sarik Andreasyan’s Prostokvashino Gets Online Premiere Date

The official online release schedule for the cinematic adaptation of “Prostokvashino” has finally been announced.

Directed by Sarik Andreasyan, the feature film will be available to subscribers of Okko, KION, and other major streaming platforms starting February 19.

Based on the beloved stories by Eduard Uspensky, the film follows the adventures of a young boy known as Uncle Fyodor. Seeking independence, he travels to the rural village of Prostokvashino accompanied by his eccentric new companions: the savvy cat Matroskin and the faithful dog Sharik.

The star-studded cast features Roman Pankov, Ivan Okhlobystin, Pavel Priluchny, Liza Moryak, and Pavel Derevyanko, among others. Since its theatrical debut on January 1, “Prostokvashino” has become a massive box-office hit, grossing over 2.427 billion rubles.
