The Ivi streaming service has premiered the opening episodes of the fifth season of the popular procedural drama “First Department,” as confirmed by the platform’s press office.
Following its initial broadcast on the NTV channel, the series continues its narrative on digital platforms. In the latest installment, Bragin (Ivan Kolesnikov), now serving as a standard investigator, stumbles upon the enigmatic disappearance of his predecessor while re-examining a cold case. Meanwhile, Shibanov (Sergei Zharkov) is forced to confront the ghosts of his past while attempting to untangle his complicated personal life.
Filming took place across various locations in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The project was brought to life by Triix Media studio, with the creative collaboration and support of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
