TeamKill Media has unveiled the latest gameplay footage for Code Violet, a sci-fi horror title that draws heavy inspiration from classics like Dino Crisis. Set in the distant future on the planet Trappist 1-E, the game follows humanity’s desperate struggle for survival. The demonstration highlights tension-filled corridors, stealth-oriented movement, and the brutal reality of managing dwindling resources.
Significant emphasis has been placed on the game’s aesthetic direction, particularly regarding the protagonist, Violet Sinclair. Following in the footsteps of titles like Stellar Blade, the developers are highlighting her character design through various cosmetic packs. Players can look forward to provocative outfits with titles such as “Ms. Sassy Sinclair,” “Big Sky Cowgirl,” and the “Pinup Swimsuit.”
Players take control of a woman from the past who has been chosen to serve as a surrogate for a sterile human colony in the 25th century. Upon awakening within a sprawling bioengineering complex, Violet must rely on stealth to navigate the facility’s dangers. The developers promise a high-stakes survival experience where every bullet is a precious commodity, forcing players to think critically about their inventory and which items are truly worth carrying.
Code Violet is slated for release on January 10, 2025, exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
