Devil May Cry 5’s latest trailer options V displaying off his summon means in fight. Mild spoilers await.
V is the main focus of the latest Devil May Cry 5 trailer that’s nearly two minutes of the collection’ new character whooping butt along with his three demon summons.
Capcom has detailed V’s powers, saying that though he “may appear weak next to Nero and Dante,” he has “the ability to unleash a unique fighting style that sees him summon three different demons to assist in battle.” Players can pummel enemies with the demons and have V swoop in on the final minute to complete them off along with his cane.
The studio lists the three demons and their powers as follows:
- Shadow: A swift, four-legged panther-like creature with savage agility that sees him change his form into sharp blades and needles for completely executed close-range assaults.
- Griffon: A bird-like demon possessing aerial fight abilities which permits him to hold V throughout Red Grave City and shoot lightning bolts at enemies from up above.
- Nightmare: The strongest of V’s demons. Nightmare’s gigantic dimension sees him destroy enemies with simply his primary assault, and he also can fireplace beams of sunshine to destroy any approaching foes.
