Sci-Fi Roguelite DAICE Demo Now Live on Steam
Aeterna Ludi, the creators behind None Shall Intrude and Few Nights More, are excited to announce that a playable demo for their latest title, DAICE, is now available for download on Steam. This new project is a sci-fi roguelite turn-based strategy game that blends deep tactical planning with high-stakes space exploration.
In DAICE, players take control of an evolving AI Core tasked with navigating through dangerous sectors of space. The core of the gameplay revolves around a unique dice-powered combat system. Instead of standard attacks, players must roll and assign dice to various ship systems, building devastating tactical synergies and adapting to the unpredictable nature of roguelite runs. Customization is a key element, allowing for a wide variety of spacecraft configurations to suit different playstyles.
The developers have emphasized the importance of replayability and strategic depth. Every run offers new challenges and opportunities to discover powerful combinations of abilities and ship upgrades. The demo provides a substantial look at the first few sectors, giving players a taste of the tactical decisions they will need to make to survive the full game.
For those interested in the full experience, Aeterna Ludi plans to release review keys for the press and content creators in late June. The full version will feature expanded ship hulls, more diverse enemy factions, and an even deeper progression system for the AI Core.

DAICE is shaping up to be a must-play for fans of tactical roguelites like Slay the Spire or FTL, offering a fresh perspective on the genre with its sci-fi setting and innovative mechanics.
