Details of Guillermo del Toro’s new project revealed

Guillermo del Toro has shed light on his upcoming adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s The Buried Giant. The director emphasized that the screenplay is being crafted specifically for an adult audience, steering clear of family-friendly tropes.
The filmmaker intends to incorporate stop-motion animation elements, though he is committed to ensuring they blend seamlessly into the film’s broader aesthetic. Achieving this cohesive artistic vision will require a meticulous, unified effort from the entire production team.
Del Toro also confirmed that Ron Perlman, known for his previous collaboration with the director on Hellboy, will be lending his voice to one of the characters in the film.
