Update 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now live on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S!
This patch brings new ways to define your character’s look, offering more than a hundred fresh customization elements for V. It also broadens CrystalCoat™ compatibility to several vehicle brands and introduces a fresh TWINTONE™ color scheme feature for cars that work with CrystalCoat™. Beyond that, Photo Mode has received a comprehensive upgrade: new camera options, variable aspect ratios, flexible lighting setups, and even the ability to pose NPCs. Check out the details below!
New Features
- CrystalCoat™ Expansion: Originally exclusive to Rayfield vehicles, CrystalCoat™ paint jobs are now available for Herrera, Mizutani, Quadra, and Villefort rides. Here’s a tip: switch up your paint job to throw NCPD off your trail and reduce your wanted level!
- Introducing TWINTONE™ by Kiroshi: As CrystalCoat™ gains momentum, TWINTONE™ lets you push your style even further. Just scan a vehicle with your Kiroshi optics, switch to the TWINTONE™ tab, and pay a small fee to save its current color layout. These saved schemes, along with a set of default designs for all CrystalCoat™-ready cars, can then be selected under the CrystalCoat™ menu. Note that you can’t copy color schemes from quest-related or NCPD vehicles, or from cars that aren’t CrystalCoat™-compatible.
- All automobiles supporting CrystalCoat™ and TWINTONE™ are now marked with a spray can icon in Autofixer.

Quests & Open World
- Reworded certain wait-based quest objectives to better reflect how the game actually triggers these events, so it’s clearer that skipping time might not always advance the quest.
- Cyberpsycho Sighting: Where the Bodies Hit the Floor: Fixed an issue where the cyberpsycho’s body had no shard, preventing progress.
- Dream On: The Trauma Team AV on the roof is now correctly hidden during stealth phases.
- Heroes: Fixed a bug where the quest could appear incomplete in the Journal even after finishing, due to “Talk to Padre” and “Talk to the Valentinos” still showing as optional tasks.
Phantom Liberty-Specific
- Balls to the Wall: Removed the invisible barrier that prevented leaving the elevator and speaking with Yuri.
- Firestarter: Fixed a bug where saving right after exiting Reed’s car could block fast travel.
- Gig: Waiting for Dodger: Freed Bill and Charles are now more cautious drivers, no longer mowing down Dodger’s crew and sparking unnecessary fights.
- Hi Ho Silver Lining: Players who couldn’t meet Mr. Hands due to a locked VIP elevator in Heavy Hearts club can now access it properly.
- I’ve Seen That Face Before: The previously closed garage door at the meeting point is now open.
- Run This Town: The elevator in Heavy Hearts is functional again, letting V meet Mr. Hands.
- Somewhat Damaged: Missing prompt to unplug cables from the Neural Network system is now restored.
- The Killing Moon: Removed the wall that blocked your path when carrying Songbird to the shuttle.
Gameplay
- Corrected one katana finisher animation so it properly severs heads.
- Iconic Synapse Burnout and Iconic System Collapse quickhacks are now affected correctly by RAM cost reductions.
- HUD icons for Tier 5+ and 5++ Behavioral Imprint-synced Faceplates will now show while driving.
- Fixed an issue causing Synaptic Accelerator to remain active indefinitely if you were detected without entering combat.
- When using a controller, honking the horn will no longer occur if you reload your weapon during vehicle combat.
- Fixed an NCPD malfunction where they’d stop responding correctly if V got involved in a firefight in Pacifica between Voodoo Boys and Trauma Team.
Miscellaneous
- Fixed muted or overly quiet TV broadcast audio.
- Resolved an issue where CrystalCoat™ wasn’t applying correctly after entering a vehicle.
- Due to popular feedback, Trauma Drama’s top scores have been reduced.
- Adjusted V’s lip movements in various scenes, including endings.
- Fixed a voiceover cutoff during NCART’s Ebunike station announcement.
- Improved V’s ray-traced shadows in Photo Mode.
PC-Specific
- Now you can properly reassign the W and S keys for vehicle controls without resorting to their default bindings.
- Optimized threading to boost performance by up to 33% on Intel Arrow Lake CPUs.
- Expanded Razer Chroma effects for some Phantom Liberty sections and romance scenes.
Make sure to update your game to enjoy the latest enhancements!
