Community Content Exhibit Vol. 12

Welcome to the latest edition of our enhanced community newsletters! Just like the traditional versions, we will explore a diverse selection of mods in each newsletter. However, this time around, we’ll be diving deeper into community content, featuring streamers, videos, shorts, and artwork!

Before we delve into the newsletter, I want to extend my gratitude to all 16,000 participants who took part in our sentiment survey. Your insightful feedback offers a valuable perspective that will aid us in advancing Ready or Not as we move forward!

Now, on to exciting news, we’re thrilled to launch our second mapping contest! Expect a detailed post this Monday with a comprehensive breakdown of the contest and its theme. For now, here’s a glimpse: we’re offering a generous $6,000 prize pool for three fortunate mappers or teams of mappers.

Continuing with the theme, let’s highlight recent maps crafted by some of the community’s most talented mappers. The three maps we’re featuring exhibit the craftsmanship of seasoned RoN Modders.

Please note, the mods are not listed in any particular sequence, merely numbered for organizational and discussion purposes.

1. Office Offensive by DecoyMoth

True to form, DecoyMoth has once again created a stunning map that challenges players with extremely tight spaces, testing the communication skills of even the most experienced teams or the prowess of the most seasoned lone operators. This map is a remarkable demonstration of a simple concept done masterfully, setting it apart from many more intricate designs and projects.

Beyond its origins, the splendid atmosphere and flawless design showcase an expansive layout akin to a genuine high-end home, presenting challenges to teams that linger in any area for too long.

3. A Florida Man – A Trailer In Darkness by StentheAwesome

Drawing inspiration from the legendary ‘Florida Man’ lore, StentheAwesome demonstrates his technical prowess by implementing unique features rare in modded maps, such as team repositioning for dual entry, window access, innovative use of the game’s sound system, and more.

The map layout itself poses additional challenges with its significantly open design, compact and cluttered interiors, and a dangerously crowded backyard if suspects attempt to flee.

Looking ahead, we are excited to see what more the community will deliver as we enhance the game to provide modders with additional functionality and as they perfect their creations.
