Shotgun King offers a darkly comedic reimagining of classic chess. After his entire army deserts him, the Black King is left solo, armed with nothing but a royal shotgun and a relentless drive to survive. Players must navigate the board, blasting through enemy ranks while desperately avoiding checkmate.
Gameplay revolves around a turn-based system where you can either maneuver the King or fire upon enemy pieces. Every shot spent eventually requires a turn to reload, adding a layer of tactical resource management. To clear a floor, you must execute the opposing King. Between stages, players choose from pairs of random cards: one grants a boon to the King, while the other applies a corresponding buff to the enemy forces.
