Bloomberg: Sales of new Macs with M4 chips and the iPad mini 7 will start on November 1st
According to analyst Mark Gurman, the new products will include the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac with M4/M4 Pro processors, as well as the 7th generation iPad mini. If the sales date is accurate, pre-orders might be scheduled between October 23-25, with the announcement possibly occurring between October 14 and 22 (since Apple usually holds presentations on Tuesdays, October 19 could be expected).
Gurman also mentioned that Apple will continue to extend the device update cycle to several years for more models, as is already happening with some iPads and Apple Watches. Currently, Apple updates some Mac models more frequently than once a year (for example, MacBook Pro models with M3 Pro/M3 Max chipsets were released just nine months after the M2 Pro/M2 Max models). The iPhone will remain one of the few devices to receive annual updates.
Apple is finding it increasingly challenging to introduce enough innovations in new models with an annual update cycle. Therefore, the company will take more time to develop new hardware, focusing on the software aspect, including introducing new features for Apple Intelligence.
