Apple’s own research led to this conclusion, as reported by sources within the company. According to the study, OpenAI’s ChatGPT is 25% more accurate than the new Siri and recognizes 30% more queries. Apple indirectly acknowledged this during the iOS 18 presentation by announcing ChatGPT’s integration with Siri.
Gurman believes that despite the lag, Apple has great potential due to its extensive lineup of closely connected devices within a unified ecosystem.
