It’s all about the love. Tiffany & Co. announced on Monday (Aug. 23) that Beyonce and Jay-Z are the stars of its latest campaign, “About Love,” a collaboration between The Carters and the luxury jeweler.
“Love is the diamond that jewelry and art decorate,” the couple said in the press release.
The campaign’s images features Beyonce wearing the Tiffany Diamond, the first time the piece of jewelry — which the jeweler notes is 128.54 carats with 82 facets — has been worn in a campaign. Jay-Z, meanwhile, models the Bird on a Rock brooch.
One of the most notable photos from the campaign features the power couple posing in front of a painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat that had previously not been seen by the public. 1982’s Equals Pi — which features a background that matches the iconic Tiffany Blue — has been in a private collection since its creation until the unveiling of this campaign, according to Tiffany & Co.
“Beyonce and Jay-Z are the epitome of the modern love story. As a brand that has always stood for love, strength and self-expression, we could not think of a more iconic couple that better represents Tiffany’s values,” Alexandre Arnault, the executive vice president of product and communications, said in a statement. “We are honored to have the Carters as part of the Tiffany family.”
In addition to the portrait of Jay and Bey alongside the Basquiat, the “Brown Skin Girl” singer shared two other images from the “About Love” campaign on Instagram. One is a glowing, romantic photo of Hova gently caressing her cheek, while another has the stunning Tiffany Diamond displayed on Beyonce’s bare back as Jay-Z looks intently into the camera. She captioned the photos simply with the name of the campaign.
