Los Angeles natives Jane’s Addiction will be headlining BeachLife Festival, Sept. 10-12 in LA’s iconic South Bay, marking their first Southern California performance since 2017. After having to cancel in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second-year festival launched by Allen Sanford and co-founder Rob Lissner in 2019 has booked a strong lineup for its 2021 return.
Ziggy and Stephen Marley will headline with a set dedicated to the songs of Bob Marley to the festival, which also includes top line performances by Counting Crows, Cage the Elephant, Gary Clark Jr., Portugal. The Man, Fitz and the Tantrums, Men at Work, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and The Revivalists, as well as more than 40 more top-tiered artists slated to perform along the picturesque coastline. That includes performances from Silversun Pickups, The Wallflowers, CAM, G. Love & Special Sauce, English Beat, Fortunate Youth, Sugar Ray, Phosphorescent, Save Ferris, Mother Hips and Thievery Corporation.
BeachLife’s SideStage Experience restaurant is returning again this year as well. SideStage is an exclusive 50-seat, high-end restaurant situated on the festival’s main stage. A team of California-based chefs, led by South Bay favorite David LeFevre (Beach Post, Fishing with Dynamite, and The Arthur J) will curate menus for the on-stage experience.
BeachLife Festival will be adding a fourth performance area this year, called the SpeakEasy stage, presented by Jack Daniels, which will feature stripped-down acoustic sets from some very famous SoCal rockers, surfers, and skaters on a super intimate level.
“The Speakeasy is going to be the badlands section of the Festival where fans can hang out with a bunch of salty punk rockers and legendary surfers and skaters like Tom Curren and Steve Caballero playing acoustic sets and talking story,” said Pennywise frontman and Southern California local Jim Lindberg. “There will also be an insane art show provided by Punk Rock & Paintbrushes featuring artwork from the festival’s musicians and local artists. If you’re looking for the edgier side of the festival – on the down low – the Speakeasy will be the place you want to be!”
In an effort to support the local community and preserve the beaches and oceans, BeachLife has once again partnered with local organizations. This year, BeachLife will host an on-site silent auction benefiting Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, Life Rolls On, Redondo Beach Police Foundation, Redondo Beach Education Foundation Walk With Sally, Rob Machado Foundation and Wyland Foundation.
Tickets are on sale now with three-day general admission passes starting at $349. Head here for the full lineup.
