Battlefield 6 New Year Grind Continues: Developers Fix Battle Pass While Players Seek Refunds for In-Game Purchases

Players can now secure the highly anticipated skin without the need to purchase tier skips using premium currency.

In late 2025, Battlefield 6 introduced a compact new Battle Pass. Consisting of just 10 tiers, the mini-event offers the “Objective Ace” skin as its prestigious final reward.

However, a significant progression hurdle quickly came to light: the community realized that completing the pass was impossible without spending money. Even after exhausting every available mission, players found themselves short of the points required for a 100% completion. While it initially appeared that purchasing levels with premium currency was the only way to claim all rewards, the developers later clarified that this was not the intended experience.

Within hours, the Battlefield 6 development team acknowledged the bug. A hotfix was implemented, updating a bonus objective to award 85 points (where each tier requires 10). However, those who had already finished the mission prior to the fix haven’t seen their points credited yet—a specific resolution for these affected players is currently “in development.”

In the meantime, members of the Battlefield 6 community are raising questions about potential refunds for those who already paid to skip tiers in order to unlock the skin before the error was addressed.

Furthermore, the studio has faced some backlash for dropping a limited-time pass during the holiday season, as many players are finding it difficult to find time for the grind amidst their festive plans.
