As the studio continues to refine the meta, they plan to adjust these economic factors to make high-end gear feel more rewarding. “We want players to be genuinely excited when they acquire a Bobcat or a Tempest,” Watkins added. “If the current sentiment is that these items aren’t worth the trouble, we’ll need to make the necessary adjustments.”

Embark is also contemplating more drastic structural changes. When asked if weapons might see shifts in rarity tiers or if crafting requirements might be lowered to improve affordability, Watkins suggested that both options are on the table.

“If we find that a weapon like the Bobcat is performing perfectly within its current niche but feels misaligned with its tier, we could consider shifting its rarity up or down,” he reasoned. “We aren’t strictly attached to where a weapon sits on the spectrum. If it makes sense to buff a gun to meet its high-tier potential, or drop its rarity so it fits its current performance role, we are open to doing both.”
