Design lead Virgil Watkins confirmed that a physical social space was a primary topic of discussion during the early development of the game’s interface. While the launch version prioritizes functionality and efficiency, the vision for a more immersive hub remains on the horizon.
Söderlund remains intrigued by the possibilities: “Could we create a true social heart for the game? How would that enrich the overall lore of Arc Raiders?” Transitioning Speranza from a series of menus into a living, breathing environment could significantly enhance the game’s world-building.
