The “vintage” status has been given to the iPhone XS Max and iPhone 6S — these can be repaired at Apple service centers and authorized partner service centers for another two years, but only if parts are available.
Aluminum and stainless steel Apple Watch Series 2 are now considered obsolete — they can no longer be repaired at company service centers or authorized partner service centers. In case of malfunction, you’ll need to turn to third-party services. Interestingly, this does not apply to the ceramic Apple Watch Edition, so users who paid extra for the exclusive Series 2 version can still breathe easy for now.
