Xbox: Microsoft launches its own wireless headset, all the technical details

While the Pulse Red controller is about to invade the shelves of stores and merchant sites, Microsoft let us know the arrival of a new accessory in the Xbox family. It is neither more nor less than the first official wireless headset for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series X, knowing that it is obviously compatible with other consoles of the previous generation. Expected for March 16, the helmet is distinguished above all by its design while sober. Displaying a black color, it also has pretty green edging to recall the color code of the Xbox brand. On the materials side, Microsoft announces that the headset is equipped a frame that’s been designed for the long haul with a metal headband, rubber pads and an adjustable microphone that can be pulled out when not needed.

In terms of technical performance, it is specified that the headset is compatible with Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos and DTS Headphone: X technologies, just to be developed in terms of sound spatialization. On Xbox Wire, we learn that when we do not speak, the microphone is automatically muted via the mute function, which can be deactivated in the application settings. Moreover, to know if it is active or not, the microphone has a light indicator that lights up when you speak. The Xbox Wireless Headset will be available from March 16 on the Microsoft Store, at the price of € 99.99.
