Wolfenstein 3 Details Revealed: Influenced by The Last of Us Dynamics

Fresh details regarding the next installment of the Wolfenstein series have surfaced via a recent casting call.

Journalists at MP1st have uncovered intriguing specifics about the upcoming title, piecing together information from recruitment listings for the project.

Currently operating under the internal codename “Valkyrie,” the game features a production team of seasoned veterans. This includes performance director Tom Keegan, who recently finished work on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and casting director Emily Schweber, a recurring collaborator who has shaped the cast of previous Wolfenstein entries.

The casting notice introduces a pivotal new character: a young girl named Sophia. While her name may be a nod to B.J. Blazkowicz’s mother, Zofia, she is a brand-new addition to the story. Described as an orphan aged between 8 and 11, Sophia travels alongside her loyal dog, Ralph, before eventually crossing paths with B.J. and joining him on his journey.

According to her character description, Sophia starts as a guarded and war-torn individual. However, as the story progresses under the guidance of the Resistance, she slowly begins to heal and find her place within the group.

The emphasis on her role suggests that the developers may be leaning into a more emotional, character-driven narrative—similar to the protector-ward dynamic popularized by The Last of Us. Given that the current timeline sees B.J. preparing for fatherhood, this evolution serves as a logical and poignant step for his personal growth.
