Electronic Arts serves as the publisher for the title.
Full Circle has announced a wave of layoffs less than six months after the early access debut of skate. Despite the internal downsizing, the Electronic Arts-published project emerged as the most-downloaded free-to-play title on PC and consoles in 2025, according to a report by Sensor Tower.
Reports indicate that the studio is not only reducing its headcount but also undergoing a significant structural reorganization. Full Circle clarified that these departures are not a reflection of the employees’ individual contributions and has committed to providing support during this transitional phase. The studio is officially describing these internal shifts as a “transformation.”
The past year was a period of immense commercial success for Electronic Arts, which secured the top spot among publishers for total downloads across PC and consoles. The company successfully launched three major AAA hits, including the chart-dominating Battlefield 6. This performance aligns with broader industry trends, as action titles and shooters remained the most popular genres throughout 2025.
