The Quake series has earned a lot of reverence. Perhaps that makes it an intimidating bunch of games to try to get into in 2019 – aren’t you too late to the party? The answer is, of course, no. If you love first-person shooting that moves at high speed and that favours twitchy reflexes and astounding accuracy then Quake is worth putting your time into.
Quake Champions is your best bet as it combines ’90s shooter sentiments with modern designs that include abilities unique to each character. Late last year the game went free-to-play permanently. That means it’s been opened up to anyone with a PC and the guts to dive in and try their hand at rocket jumping to dodge an incoming explosive and then spinning in the air to zap their assailant.
If you haven’t checked it out yet then allow us to give you a further incentive. We’re giving away 3000 codes that unlock Nyx, the blue-haired dimension jumper, in Quake Champions. Interested? You darn well should be.
The free version of Quake Champions only gives you two champions to play with – Ranger and Scalebearer. If you win one of these 3000 codes from us then you’ll have a third option. Nyx is a good alternative as the other two champions are big brutes and she’s a swift assassin, capable of ghost walking to avoid gunfire, and wall jumping for quick evasions.
In order to put your name forward to win a code to unlock Nyx in Quake Champions you need to interact with the widget below. Every action you complete is worth one entry into the giveaway, with the more actions you complete increasing your chances of winning.
