The Duffer Brothers Reveal the Runtime for the Remaining Episodes of Stranger Things Season 5

Contrary to earlier speculation, the fifth season of Stranger Things will not consist entirely of movie-length episodes.

Showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer have officially disclosed the runtimes for the final four chapters of the series’ concluding season.

The duration breakdown is as follows:

Episode 5: “Shock Jock” — 1 hour 8 minutes

Episode 6: “Escape from Camazotz” — 1 hour 15 minutes

Episode 7: “The Bridge” — 1 hour 6 minutes

Episode 8: “The Rightside Up” — 2 hours 8 minutes

Consequently, only the grand finale will truly mirror a feature film’s duration, though it still falls short of being the longest in the show’s history. For comparison, the Season 4 finale clocked in at a massive 2 hours and 22 minutes.

The initial installment of Stranger Things Season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix. The next batch of episodes is slated for release on December 26, while the series finale will arrive on January 1.
