Last 12 months, France’s Ankama Animations and Japan’s Studio 4°C launched the French animated film Mutafukaz. Directed by French comedian artist Guillaume “Run” Renard and Shōjirō Nishimi (who can also be the lead animator), the movie takes components from sci-fi, anime, and movie noir. It follows the lives of Angelino and Vinz in a dystopian L.A.-inspired metropolis as they uncover superpowers and battle crime.
This October, GKIDS is releasing a brand new English-dubbed model of the movie, retitled MFKZ. The new film stars Kenn Michael as Angelino and Vince Staples as Vinz. MFKZ additionally options voice appearing from RZA, Dascha Polanco (from “Orange Is the New Black”), and Danny Trejo, amongst others. Below, watch a brand new purple band trailer for MFKZ.
