We are delighted to welcome you to the 85th installment of our Ready or Not Development Briefing, dated April 25, 2025.
As you may have noticed on our YouTube channel or during the Twitch Galaxies livestream, the console version of Ready or Not is slated for release this summer! Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will support the game, including full cross-platform play. This update aims to address your pressing inquiries regarding the console version.
Coinciding with this launch, we’re introducing a complimentary update known as “Los Sueños Stories” (LSS), not a form of DLC. This update will introduce four new weapons, three new difficulty levels, and the redesign of two maps, previously available only as early concept layouts during Early Access. In this briefing, you’ll be introduced to the TRPL pepper ball pistol, M32A1 rotary grenade launcher, 590M magazine-fed shotgun, and MK-V .50 AE pistol.
Please note: These development briefings are designed to keep you informed about our ongoing support for Ready or Not, although they do not cover every aspect of what we’re currently developing. Be aware that the features discussed in our development briefings might still be under development and are subject to modification.
Below is a compilation of frequently asked questions we’ve received following our console release announcement:
1) Q: Is crossplay supported?
A: Indeed! Players across PC and console platforms can connect and play alongside each other.
2) Q: Can crossplay be disabled?

Our development team will be attending various events this spring and summer, and if we happen to meet you there, we might share some exclusive convention merchandise.
You can recognize us by the exclusive Ready or Not backpacks we’ll be donning. These bags are limited editions, worn solely by VOID team members and a select number of content creators attending an upcoming event.
The first such event will be PAX East! Although we won’t set up a booth, you might spot us roaming around.

What kind of exclusive convention merchandise can you expect to receive from us? An official LSPD badge, naturally. Well done, officer, you’ve earned it.

The four newly introduced weapons in the LSS update are designed to occupy niches currently available in the game.
The TRPL pepper ball pistol is a non-lethal, multi-shot sidearm capable of dispersing OC gas clouds to subdue enemies. It has a greater range than a taser and holds seven rounds per magazine, making it a suitable option for shield carriers or those wanting a completely non-lethal loadout.
However, when compared to a taser, it offers less immediate impact, and with its relatively limited magazine capacity, officers must employ strategic use to avoid one-on-one encounters.
Consider this fiery loadout: VPL-25, TRPL, pepper spray, CS gas grenades, and a CS launcher. Don’t forget to wear your gas mask for this mission.

This pump-action shotgun is magazine-fed, holding a detachable box magazine with 10 rounds, unlike other shotguns in RoN, which are loaded manually, one shell at a time. This allows a 590M user to swiftly reload all 10 shells simultaneously, although switching between different shell types on an individual basis is more challenging, and tactical reloads could leave an inventory of partially filled magazines.

Equipped with a six-shot 40mm revolving barrel, this grenade launcher is capable of firing flashbang and CS gas rounds. There’s no need to reload after each shot, as the cylinder cycles the next round into the chamber.

This isn’t your typical Desert Eagle. Instead, it is a rather audacious model – a 1911 pistol frame extensively modified to accommodate the substantial .50 AE cartridge. A batch of these unique and formidable semi-automatic pistols was seized and later reacquired by the LSPD.
Maintain control over recoil and time your shots well, or you might fire through the ceiling above. While the .357 magnum may offer more utility, the MK-V boasts quick magazine swaps.

A key objective of our revamped difficulty system is to provide players with unique encounters and opportunities that might not become evident when playing on Standard mode. Extensive playtesting of the difficulty levels has granted us significant insights into how we can refine and achieve this aim further. For instance, trap implementation varies with difficulty.
On Casual, players should experience greater liberty and reduced pressure from adversaries. For instance, levels with traps might feature fewer or non-lethal ones, allowing SWAT AI to grant players more time to interact with adversaries.
Conversely, on Hard, this philosophy truly unfolds. Players encounter a wider range of suspect behaviors and challenges. Levels previously void of traps may now include them, and suspect strategies will become more unpredictable and intelligent, with some non-lethal traps transforming into dangerous ones. Formerly familiar levels now demand constant vigilance, as complacency can be deadly.
Ronsole is on the horizon, and with it comes the Los Sueños Stories update! If you have further inquiries, please leave them in the comments or contact us via our social channels. A heartfelt thanks to our PS5 audience for warmly embracing our trailer on the PlayStation YouTube channel. We may catch sight of some of you (and other fans) at PAX East where you can receive an official badge!
This concludes our 85th development briefing, thank you for being with us. Keep an eye out for the next briefing containing more development updates!
