Apple Martin, the daughter of Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, has officially arrived on the fashion scene with a stunning cover story for the spring issue of Vogue. Showcasing high-fashion looks from Loewe, Prada, and Balenciaga, the young starlet opened up about her changing perspective on her family’s legacy and her own professional aspirations.
Currently finishing her legal studies at Vanderbilt University, Apple admits that her choice of major was driven by a need to establish an identity separate from her famous parents. While she excelled in the classroom, a career in the courtroom no longer feels like her destiny. It turns out the rigorous academic path was a way to prove she could thrive outside the glare of the entertainment industry.
“I was going through a rebellious phase; I was determined not to be a carbon copy of my parents,” Apple explained.
However, her innate creative spirit eventually took over. With a background in dance and music, she found herself increasingly drawn to the dramatic arts. Now, the self-aware “nepo baby” is setting her sights on a career in acting. While she is currently navigating the early challenges of the industry, her determination suggests that her cinematic debut is only a matter of time.
