In Russia, using SpeedTest for measuring internet speed might be banned
Developers from Ookla are being accused of collaborating with US intelligence agencies to create a system for testing network control. According to the International Academy of Communications, SpeedTest collects information and these data might later be used for DDoS attacks.
This initiative has already gained support from representatives of the State Duma and the Federal Security Service (FSB). Other foreign tools for measuring internet speed might also be affected.
