After nearly three decades with Ubisoft, Julian Gerighty—the veteran creative lead behind the *Tom Clancy’s The Division* franchise—is transitioning to Electronic Arts to join the leadership team at Battlefield Studios.

This high-profile departure, marking the end of a tenure that began in 1999, comes amid a period of significant restructuring at Ubisoft. The publisher recently moved to streamline operations, a process that included the closure of its studio in Halifax. Addressing his exit on social media, Gerighty shared a heartfelt farewell: "It is time for me to hang up my go-bag—though I’m keeping the watch—as I embark on a new professional chapter."

"The future of *The Division* remains incredibly bright, and I am eager for players to see the ambitious projects currently in development," he added. "Long live *The Division* and Godspeed!"

Gerighty first joined the Massive Entertainment team in 2014 as the Creative Director for the original *The Division*, eventually rising to the role of Executive Producer by 2024. In a public tribute, Massive Entertainment celebrated his contributions, stating, "Once an Agent, always an Agent. We are profoundly grateful for your dedication to this universe. You will always be a part of our legacy."

Despite this leadership change, Massive Entertainment has moved quickly to reassure the community that their long-term roadmap remains intact. The studio confirmed its "ambitious and unwavering commitment" to the franchise's growth, including ongoing support for *The Division 2*, the upcoming *The Division Resurgence*, and the highly anticipated *The Division 3*.

Early reports suggest that *The Division 3* is aiming for a massive scale, with the development team at Massive working to ensure it matches the cultural impact and depth of the series' debut.
