Telegram presents another update: lots of features for video and more
Video features:
• When watching videos, Telegram will automatically select the quality based on the internet connection speed (currently only for large channels). Users can manually change the quality to low (480p), medium (720p), or high (1080p).
• Channel administrators can now publish videos in higher quality (currently only for large channels).
• You can switch to “picture-in-picture” mode by swiping the video upwards.
• Tap the right part of the screen during video playback to speed it up by 1.5 times. Holding your finger and swiping right can increase the speed up to 2.5 times.
• Double-tapping on the right or left part of the screen allows you to skip the video forward or backward by 10 seconds (currently only on Android).
Message editing:
• You can now edit a sent message without files by attaching a photo, video, or document.
• When editing a message, you can also replace files with others.
• If you press and hold a message, you can see when it was edited.
Hashtags in chats:
• Messages can now be assigned hashtags in the format #hashtag@username, under which messages and stories only from the same chat will be displayed.
Bots and mini-apps:
• Owners of bots, channels, and mini-apps can now receive part of the revenue from official ads displayed on their resources — up to 50%.
• Bots can send up to 30 messages per second to users. Large services can pay to increase the limit to 1,000 messages per second — for 0.1 Stars.
• The precise number of reactions and Stars on posts can now be viewed by holding the counter.
