TCL introduces smartphones with screens mimicking E-Ink displays — NxtPaper 50 and 50 Pro
These are mid-range smartphones with regular IPS screens, differing only in the front camera and memory capacity. However, they feature a unique mode that simulates the operation of e-readers with electronic ink.
In this mode, the screen becomes monochrome, icons are redrawn, and notifications are disabled. According to TCL, this can extend the phone’s battery life up to seven days.
