Acclaimed actor and filmmaker Taika Waititi has officially joined the voice cast for the upcoming animated feature Aang: The Last Airbender, according to recent media reports.
The project is slated for a Paramount+ release in October 2026. Waititi joins a star-studded ensemble that includes Ke Huy Quan, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, and Geraldine Viswanathan.
The narrative picks up several years after the events of the original 2005 Avatar: The Last Airbender series, following the fan-favorite protagonists as they navigate the challenges of adulthood.
