St. Vincent has introduced a brand new album—a stripped-down, piano-based model of final 12 months’s MASSEDUCTION. This one’s referred to as MassEducation (one letter makes all of the distinction), and it’s out October 12 by way of Loma Vista. Annie Clark recorded MassEducation with longtime collaborator, Doveman’s Thomas Bartlett, on piano. It was recorded in two days whereas mixing MASSEDUCTION. Clark describes it as a “reimagining” of final 12 months’s LP. MassEducation consists of Clark’s not too long ago launched “Slow Slow Disco.” Check out the piano model of “Savior” under.

“We neither rehearse nor spoke about how to approach any song, but rather, played two to three live takes, picked the best one, and trusted in the feeling of the moment,” Clark stated concerning the new report in a handwritten letter. “So here it is—two dear friends playing songs together with the kind of secret understanding one can only get through endless nights in New York City. Enjoy.” Read the total letter under.

This summer time, St. Vincent shared a reworked model of the monitor referred to as “Fast Slow Disco” that bought a Zev Deans-directed video. Check out the MassEducation album paintings and tracklist under.
