When you find yourself in a bind, you can simply locate the “Tow to Road” button within the Service menu (accessible via the F7 key by default). After paying a nominal service fee, your vehicle will be repositioned to the last safe location you passed on the road.
There are a few logistical details to keep in mind: if you detach your trailer before requesting help, only the tractor will be moved, leaving the trailer at its original spot. Furthermore, to maintain gameplay balance and prevent exploits, the Tow to Road option will become unavailable if you stray too far from a valid roadway.
