IO Interactive had originally slated the title for a March release window.
007 First Light will miss its previously announced March 27 launch date. Instead, the release of this tactical spy thriller has been rescheduled for May 27, 2026. At launch, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Development is progressing at a steady clip, and the title is already playable from start to finish. These additional two months will provide us with the necessary time to optimize and refine the experience, ensuring we deliver a polished product at launch. We are confident this decision will contribute to the long-term success of 007 First Light, and we sincerely appreciate the patience and ongoing support we have received since the project was first unveiled. We look forward to sharing more updates in early 2026.
IO Interactive has also characterized 007 First Light as their most ambitious and expansive undertaking to date.
