Media: Lucasfilm to Produce Another “Star Wars” Trilogy
Simon Kinberg will serve as the screenwriter and producer. In 2014, he was one of the creators of the animated series “Star Wars: Rebels,” and he made his directorial debut with the film “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” in 2019.
Deadline reports that the trilogy will be a direct continuation of the Skywalker Saga, while The Hollywood Reporter claims the film will tell an entirely new story in the “Star Wars” universe.
Disney and Lucasfilm have declined to comment.
