Media: Upcoming horror film “28 Years Later” by Danny Boyle is entirely shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max
The publication WIRED reports that the main part of the filming was completed at the end of August, and until now, the fact that the movie was shot on smartphones has been kept a secret, with the crew being asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement about this detail. However, a paparazzo who took a picture on the set captured a rig with a smartphone connected to a large full-frame lens.
The use of Apple smartphones as the primary camera system was later confirmed to WIRED by several people associated with the film, specifying that the iPhone 15 Pro Max model was used.
The project involves Oscar-winning cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle, who, along with Boyle, won an award for “Slumdog Millionaire” and was also the cinematographer for the original “28 Days Later.”
The zombie horror film “28 Years Later” will be released in theaters on June 20, 2025. The film will be a continuation of “28 Days Later” (2002) and “28 Weeks Later” (2007).
