Day 28 of fighting Savage Beastfly everyday until I can’t beat it anymore, but the most upvoted comment on this post decides how I make tomorrow’s fight harder from r/Silksong
“It was a much-needed relief,” SuddenlySpoons noted in his update. “Having that safety net means I can actually recover from mistakes. That said, I cleared this attempt fairly quickly, so I’m bracing for something truly malicious today.”
Currently, the leading suggestion involves placing a stray Beastfly in Bilewater. This adds another layer of misery to the “Groal runback” modifier introduced on day 24. For the uninitiated, the Groal trek is widely considered the most agonizing boss runback in the game; despite being located nowhere near the Savage Beastfly’s lair, it now serves as the mandatory, soul-crushing warm-up for what has become an utter spectacle of mayhem.
The visual clarity of these battles has long since evaporated. The screen is now a cluttered mess of drifting enemies, cameos from NPCs like Shakra, and descending lava. Past modifications range from the morbid—”PILBY HAS DIED”—to the surreal, such as day 16’s requirement for an “Ass Jim DVD screensaver.”
The community’s kindness was short-lived; by day 27, the boss was shielded by an orbital ring of regenerating mini-Beastflies. Previous hurdles included mandatory Silksongdle puzzle completions and a day 17 update that layered “Family Guy” clips and Subway Surfers gameplay over the background. After a full month of this madness, SuddenlySpoons remains undeterred. While he once viewed day 30 as a daunting peak, the sheer absurdity of the journey now makes me wonder exactly how much more insanity he can endure.
