Jurassic Park Collection to be delisted two years after launch as developers provide “plenty of notice”

“In the past, we’ve realized how vital it is to provide significant notice for shifts like this, so we are striving for maximum transparency,” LRG noted in their statement. “Our objective is to ensure fans have every possible chance to secure the game before it vanishes. We appreciate your understanding.”

Prospective buyers currently have about a month and a half to grab the collection, which maintains its $30 USD price tag on most platforms. Following the delisting, the only way to obtain the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection will be tracking down physical copies on the secondary market or sourcing the original 8-bit and 16-bit cartridges for their native consoles.

While the collection may not be strictly essential—with game quality ranging from “surprisingly solid” to “notably dated”—it remains a nostalgic touchstone. The SNES title featured impressively ambitious first-person sequences, and the NES version is remembered for its phenomenal soundtrack. It is a blow to game preservation that a publisher so focused on history couldn’t secure a more permanent digital future for this release.

While it might not top the list of the greatest SNES games ever, those early Doom-style 3D segments are still deeply memorable.
