While Bloober Team is already busy readying Cronos: The New Dawn and Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition for the Switch 2, the studio is also nurturing a more clandestine venture for Nintendo’s hardware: the enigmatic Project M.
The Polish developer first teased the existence of Project M in July 2024, confirming that the title is being built exclusively for Nintendo platforms. In a recent discussion with Nintendo Insider, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno suggested that the long-awaited reveal might be just around the corner.
When pressed for details regarding what Project M actually entails, Babieno shared:
It is incredibly difficult for me to remain tight-lipped about the true identity of Project M—but we aren’t quite ready for the full reveal. That said, we expect to share the first concrete details very soon.
What I can say is that aficionados of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will instantly feel a sense of familiarity. However, Project M introduces a bold pivot—a concept never before seen in the horror space. It is a vision that could only be brought to life on Nintendo hardware.
Earlier reports indicated that Project M is operating on a budget “significantly leaner” than Bloober Team’s high-profile AAA titles and is being developed in partnership with some of the most proficient creators within the Nintendo ecosystem.
