Sia Furler has solidified her status as the undisputed powerhouse of Australian music on Spotify, according to the latest streaming analytics.

The acclaimed singer-songwriter has achieved a historic milestone this week, becoming the first artist to ever secure the top position on the Global Impact List of Australian recording artists twice. Sia’s chart-topping momentum is fueled by “Beautiful People,” her high-energy collaboration with David Guetta. The list measures the performance of Australian acts across international markets, specifically excluding domestic streams within Australia.

This isn’t the first time the Adelaide native has dominated the export charts; she previously claimed the summit in 2023 with her hit “Gimme Love.”

Tame Impala and The Kid LAROI Command the Charts

Kevin Parker’s psychedelic project, Tame Impala, also established a formidable presence in the top 50. With seven tracks featured from the fifth studio album, Deadbeat, Parker’s global appeal remains undeniable. Four of these songs broke into the top 15, headlined by “Dracula” at No. 2 and “Loser” at No. 8.

Meanwhile, The Kid LAROI continues to prove his status as a global heavyweight. Now based in Los Angeles, the Sydney-born artist matched Tame Impala with seven tracks on the list—a clear indicator of his resonance with international listeners. His top-tier entries include the Tate McRae collaboration “I know love” at No. 3 and the atmospheric “A COLD PLAY” at No. 9.

The elite group of Australian musical exports also features prominent names such as Dom Dolla, Dean Lewis, Rüfüs Du Sol, Royel Otis, and Lithe.

“The influence of Australian music is palpable across the globe, from the traditional hubs of the U.S. and Europe to rapidly emerging markets where our artists are building devoted fanbases,” says Leah Harris, Spotify AUNZ Head of Artist & Label Partnerships. “This data reflects a borderless musical landscape where Australian talent is forging deeper, more impactful connections with worldwide audiences than ever before.”

Global Market Trends

As of 2025, the United States remains the primary destination for Australian music on Spotify, followed closely by the United Kingdom and Germany. However, the geographic reach of Aussie talent is expanding; Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, and France all rank within the top 10 export territories. Growth is particularly explosive in South Africa (+99%), the Philippines (+64%), and Colombia (+53%), which have emerged as the fastest-climbing markets over the last three years.

This surge in international visibility comes as Spotify reports record-breaking growth. In its recent Q4 2025 earnings report, the streaming giant revealed it had surpassed expectations, reaching 290 million premium subscribers—a 10% year-over-year increase. The platform’s total Monthly Active Users (MAUs) also climbed by 11%, now totaling 751 million worldwide.
